As of August of 2022, the ultimate ability for Jester B is apparently broken for those who still have it. Jester A is considered to be better for its more useful Tier 2 ability, but Jester B had a much better ultimate ability.Some classes such as Necromancer and Abysswalker have extremely good synergy with it. Jester Edict is overall not the best edict as it once was, but the moves it provides can be devastating in exchange for long cooldowns.This is likely unintentional as when Jester A was fixed it was also slightly buffed. Jester's Scheme is worse in Khei, with the duration only being three seconds there while it is five seconds in Gaia.Jester A is a reference to Jotaro/Dio while Jester B is a reference to King Crimson. Both variants of this edict are references to Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.Jester is not currently obtainable, despite information given in the Edict Book.The way Time Erase (Jester β) affects spells themselves in specific are unknown.Quick Stop is a good example, being a combination of Jester A's Time Halt and Jester B's Time Erase. Jester Edict has heavily nerfed versions with different names and somewhat different abilities.

NOTE: The requirements listed below are THEORIES and are not guaranteed to work. NOTE: Edicts are not class locked, but some classes make the quests easier to complete depending on the Edict. To progress an edict, you have to re-complete the entire quest each time. A yellow name on the leaderboard indicates somebody who has maxed their Edict type. Once you have gained your Edict, your forehead will receive a tattoo that represents your Edict type. Once you have met the requirements for your quest, you must wipe, at which point if you were successful you will progress. Your Edict progression will stay with all of your characters, and even through Lineages, as long as you don't remove it manually by talking to the soul master NPC in the House of Purgatory. Edicts are mysterious inherited abilities that can be earned by completing special quests.
